Wilderness Camp

MBBC Wilderness Camp

About 4 months ago, one of the Camp's employees had a great idea of setting up a camp site, outside of the typical camp boundaries. With a lot of work and planning we now have MBBC's Wilderness Camp. Campers now have the opportunity to get a solid feel for camping in the "great outdoors". With no running water, or typical washrooms campers are guaranteed to get a eye opener.

The camp site is situated up on a hill of MBBC's property. With a sleeping capacity of 100 people, it can accommodate many camping retreats. There is a large fire-pit which can be used at anytime.

Hammock Getaway

3 hammocks stacked

What is now called "Hammock Heaven", a few of us campers created a place to put our hammocks...up in the trees. The highest being about 20 feet off the ground, this makes for an interesting sleep. In fact, the picture captioned "View of the fire pit" is taken from my hammock.

I have personally enjoyed my time helping to create the camp site. The stillness and solitude is indeed second to none. You truely feel disconnected from the rest of the world; which is a really nice feeling! I hope any one that is able to spend some time up there benefits from the peacefulness as I did.
